WEBSITES FOR AUTHORS & SMALL BUSINESSES
Give visitors a clear reason to take the next step.
A website with a job to do
A visitor should be able to understand who the site is for, what is offered, and how to move forward. An author may need readers to find the right edition. A small business may need a clear service description and a manageable inquiry path. We start with that purpose.
What the project can include
Content structure, page design, responsive implementation, relevant project or product links, and an inquiry path matched to your needs. The agreed launch scope can include descriptive page titles, crawlable content, a sitemap, and practical handoff guidance. Hosting, third-party services and ongoing maintenance are discussed separately.
How we keep the scope workable
We agree on the number of pages, who provides the copy and images, required integrations, review rounds, and launch checks. Booking systems, payments, memberships and unfamiliar integrations need a separate feasibility assessment. We do not assume every requested feature belongs in the first release.
See the decisions in action
The homepage includes a fictional school-workshop website challenge. Change its message, details and next step, then test them against the brief. It demonstrates how a page can serve its audience; it is not a prediction of sales or a client case study.
What to bring
Tell us what you offer, who needs it, what visitors should do, and any existing site or materials. A rough idea is enough for the first conversation. We establish fit, scope and cost before committing to a build.
What happens after launch
The handoff covers the agreed files, access and guidance. Search visibility takes time and is not guaranteed. Additional content, maintenance and improvements can be scoped from real questions and observed use.
Questions first. A clear scope and agreed cost before work begins.
